The Spanish 2 Final Exam will focus on chapters 9 - 11 of Ven conmigo 1.
Refer to the handout for more specific information about each test section.
The score will be combined with the midterm exams to become the final 
exam grade in the E1 column in PowerSchool.

El examencito del tercer paso de capítulo 11 fue el 25 de mayo.  
(It was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but it has been changed 
to Thursday since the special bell schedule for Thursday was switched to Wednesday.)

A.  Listen to a conversation about what people did and where they went.  
Listen to their conversation and choose the best completion for each sentence.

B.  Read a conversation about where people went and what sports they played.  
Based on the conversation, answer the questions that follow.
Review names of places, names of activities, and verbs for fitness activities.

C.  Write forms of the verb ganar in the preterite tense to fill in the blanks 
of a conversation to talk about who won the games or competitions.
Review -ar verb endings in the preterite tense.  They are listed in the orange
preterite packet.

D.  Fill in blanks with forms of jugar in the preterite tense to explain what sports 
or games people played.
Study the forms of jugar in the preterite tense.  Remember that a letter must
be added to one of the forms due to a pronunciation issue.

E.  Complete the sentences by filling in two blanks for each.   In the first blank,
write the form of ir in the preterite tense to explain that people went to various places.
Use the places that are listed in the word bank to fill in blanks with the locations where sports would typically take place.
Study preterite tense forms of the irregular verb ir.  Review names of sports, verbs for fitness activities, and activity names.

F.  The cultural information will focus on soccer and jai alai.

A.  Listen as someone explains that certain body parts hurt.  
Based on the drawing, write the letter of the corresponding body part.  

B.  Complete conversations about aches and pains.  Use indirect object
pronouns and forms of doler.

C.  Fill in blanks of a paragraph with body parts that are listed in the word bank.
Review verbs and clothing items that might be used in the clues.

D.  Match the Spanish phrases with the English phrases for feelings, 
moods, and conditions.

E.  Culture based on baseball

A.  Listen as people discuss their activities.  
Match each one to the corresponding drawing.
Review the physical activities that are listed on the front
of your chapter 11 primer paso vocabulary list.

B.  Fill in blanks with reflexive pronouns (me, te, se, nos, os, se)

C.  Read questions and select the best response.
Review the phrases for making suggestions and responding.
Remember to review expressing feelings phrases.

D.  Complete each statement or question with the correct form 
of sentirse in the present tense.  Study the forms that are listed
on the back of your chapter 11 primer paso vocabulary list.

Concentrate on -ar endings and the irregular verb hacer.
Also, review phrases that indicate the past.

C.  Fill in blanks of the paragraph with -ar ending verbs in the preterite tense.

D.  Based on the calendar, select the phrase that corresponds 
to when the event happened.  Remember to review phrases
that indicate the past.

A.  Listen to a series of questions.  Select the best response 
for each question.

B.  Read about what needs to be done to prepare for a party.
Match each statement about what needs to be done with the 
command that would solve the problem.

C.  Use an affirmative informal (tú) command for each verb that is given.
Remember that some verbs have irregular command forms.

D.  Culture about marriage ceremonies

A.  Listen to comments about party preparations.  
Match each description to the person whose actions 
are being described.

B.  Read the description of each holiday and match it to the name 
of the holiday.

C.  Fill in blanks with the present progressive to explain what 
is happening right now.
Remember to use the correct form of estar in the present tense.  
Then, form the present participle.  Review your pink handout.

D.  Culture about holidays, birthdays, and saint's days 
in Spanish-speaking countries

Match each phrase to the corresponding drawing.
Review clothing vocabulary, colors, patterns, fabrics, making comparisons, likes and dislikes, preferences, demonstrative adjectives, and ways to talk about price.


F.  Culture about currency in Spanish-speaking countries

A.  Listen to each description of the clothing items and match it 
to the drawing of the person who is wearing the corresponding outfit.

B.  Read questions about what people generally wear for certain events, 
seasons, or weather.  Read the response to the question.  
If it seems like an appropriate response to the question, write sí.  
If it doesn't make sense or isn't what a person would generally 
wear for that situation, write no.   
Remember to review seasons, weather, places, and events.

C.  Match the Spanish word with the correct picture.
Study the bold words on the clothing vocabulary list.

D.  Writing - Translate the sentences from English to Spanish.  
There is a word bank that contains some of the words or phrases.
Remember to make adjectives agree with what they describe.
Study clothing items, patterns, colors, fabrics, adjectives, and comparisons.

E.  Culture about fashion in Spanish-speaking countries
