How to Cite Sources in a Research Paper

The Shikellamy School District uses the Modern Language Association of America's format for writing research papers.  Advanced Science classes may use APA (American Psychological Association) format in order to prepare our students for academic life beyond SHS.

                     Purdue OWL: A comprehensive website that will guide users through the research process.  It                        contains information about both MLA and APA citations.  It is searchable, and user-friendly.  

                    EasyBib and Citation Machine are intended for users who are familiar with the research                                process.  They are as good as the information you put into them.  A word of caution: if you use                        them, you will need to check the results for accuracy.  If you are unsure, check with your teacher,                     librarian, or Purdue OWL.
