World Languages

"If we spoke a different language, we would perceive a somewhat different world."
 ~ Ludwig Wittgenstein
As advocates of world languages in our school district, we stress the importance for our students to study a second or third language for as much time as possible during their school career so that they may increase their understanding of this modern multi-cultural world in which we live.  Knowledge of other languages and cultures provides life enrichment and deeper understanding of how to interact and contribute as an United States citizen in our global world.  Our mission is not only for our students to be able to effectively communicate in another language, but also to gain appreciation, awareness and respect for international cultures, values and perspectives.
"A different language is a different vision of life."
~ Federico Fellini
